Grid System as Backbone of Every Good Design, Response

I read Vera Fesianava's, Grid System as Backbone of Every Good Design. Part 1, and felt that it gave great insight on the application of grids in graphic design, their purpose, and significance in the design process.

A grid system, as mentioned in the article, is a set of guidelines applied to create consistency in design projects. Fesianava explained that not only does this use of a grid system back your design more balanced and consistent, but it also saves you a lot of extra effort and time as a support for your design process.

This grid system also makes the users experience of your design much more successful. By creating this organization of image/text it allows whatever you are communicating to be an easy flow of reading/ looking and even gives the designer the opportunity to use these grids as a way to emphasis and guide viewers to other sections of the work easily.

When we first started grids in Graphic Design 1 It was honestly complicated to get the hang of and break out of the habit of not having them there. But, I feel this article gave me a better idea of the reasoning why we use them and how It helps not only us be better designers, but our viewers be more drawn to our work.
