I chose to talk about an art collective called Studio Puckey, founded by Jonathan Puckey. I found this art collective because my previous blog about an interactive project was Radio Garden, which Puckey was a co-creator of. There seemed to be a lot of information about the other designer of Radio Garden, Moniker, but less about Puckey so I decided to search and came across his separate design studio. Although I found the two studios collaborate on bigger projects quite often. The studio was formed in 2016 and is based in Amsterdam. They say that their studio, "works across various media for a diverse range of clients ranging from cultural to corporate and everything in-between.", but much of their work seems to be interactive web based projects that play with our idea of language & what we can do with the internet. They do not share what individual designers work on each project, but they do leave 'factoids' on their website about how many visitors the site receives or how many pieces of media were used in the project. They have even worked on interacive projects such as music WebVR music videos for artists like LCD soundsystem. Another popular site they have designed is pointerpointer.com, an interactive site that displays images of people pointing at your cursor based on where you move it on the screen. I found it interesting they were designing projects like this that may not have a real 'purpose' other than enjoyment, and reminded me of our previous interactive projects. Purely experimenting with what's possible.
